CAPS™ CBRIPS™ Conversion Kits have been
designed to convert currently fielded CAPS DP™ and LSE™ systems
to the latest in approved Air Force processing technology.
CAPS CBRIPS™ provides one layout that can accommodate all Air
Force protective ensembles, including BDO, CPO, JFIRE, HAZMAT
Level A, and Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD). The system can
also process ensembles, masks and mask variants for Aircrew and
Groundcrew personnel from other branches of the U.S. military
and our NATO allied partners. The broad spectrum functionality
of the system allows the USAF to process anyone who enters their
CCA, regardless of service or equipment. CBRIPS™ reduces the
mobilty footprint in size by one half of previous systems, uses
one-fifth of the bleach resources, and is more cost effective
than previous systems within the CAPS family. The system has
several new advancements that enhance processing effectiveness
and make it faster to set up. CBRIPS™ includes the necessary
components for establishing a processing line on a
paved/hardened surfaces or other surfaces like grass and sand.
The patented Contaminant Air Processing System™ (CAPS™) CBRIPS
(Chemical, Biological,and Radiological Integrated Processing
System™) is the most sophisticated decontamination processing
system ever developed. It offers compact transportability and
standardized, multi-faceted processing capability. From chemical
to biological weapons, radiological to other hazardous
materials, CAPS™ offers complete contamination control area
processing capability for the most diverse decontamination
requirements in one box. All systems require less than
one-fourth of an air mobility bin for storage, yet provide all
necessary components for operating self-sufficiently under bare
base conditions or in remote locations. Careful consideration
has been given to provide all-weather utilization, rugged
dependability, superior strength, and lightweight and compact
storage capability.
